Exhibiting for the first time at Infrarail, Safetykleen UK gave visitors to their stand a sneak preview of the future of parts washing and component cleaning technology.

This vision is embodied in Jetkleen, a new high-power aqueous parts washer, which cleans components around ten times faster than any conventional system. Safe, economical and environmentally responsible to use, it offers major time and cost-saving benefits to manufacturers, refurbishers and maintenance departments across the rail industry. Already well-established as a full service provider for parts washers and spraygun cleaning equipment, Safetykleen believes Jetkleen is aligned to the rail sector’s own requirement for more efficient, safe and environmentally responsible services from their suppliers.

The Jetkleen unit, which was available to use at the show, houses a high pressure hand-held jet washer in a spacious stainless steel cabinet. This enables precision manipulation and cleaning of a wide range of component sizes. Its aqueous fluid operation means it is safe and fume-free to use, and completes the dry-to-dry process simply, thoroughly and efficiently. The speed of operation means that dismantled components can be cleaned, examined and reassembled much faster, considerably reducing service times for rolling stock, track assemblies and other industry components.

As with all Safetykleen equipment, Jetkleen requires no capital outlay, and the rental service agreement includes regular machine maintenance, fluid replacement, waste removal for recycling and all compliance paperwork.

Also displayed on stand was the company’s most popular parts washer the Model 177, a solvent manual part washer used throughout the rail industry, and an automatic aqueous pats washer to demonstrate the breadth of the Safetykleen service package. This depth of range was further complemented by the presence of Partwash UK on the stand.

Safetykleen’s Marketing Director, Leon McMahon, comments: “We’re very excited about our presence at Infrarail and our further expansion into the rail sector, both in terms of specialist cleaning services and waste management. That expansion will be supported by our recent acquisition of Partswash UK, which allows us to deliver tailored and bespoke solutions for specialist applications. Safetykleen and Partswash UK can now offer solutions across the whole spectrum of component cleaning, and complementary services.”
