Safetykleen UK has taken delivery of nine new road tankers as part of the continued growth of its waste oil collection service to the aggregate and construction industry. Each tanker comprises a 26 tonne DAF CF75 chassis cab with Road Tankers Northern 16000 litre Tank build.

The waste oil collection service is operated locally from each of the company’s branches across the UK, and the new tankers bring the fleet total to twenty. This means there are now dedicated tankers in every branch, delivering even faster customer response times and more schedule flexibility to construction sites and plant maintenance workshops. The tankers travel to each Safetykleen customer to pump waste oil from their holding tanks and return it via the branch network for recycling into Processed Fuel Oil (PFO) at Safetykleen’s recycling facility at Cottenham. PFO is used in the fuelling of cement kilns and therefore contributes to reducing the industry’s carbon footprint.

Helping customers comply with the new Waste Framework Directive is central to all Safetykleen service offerings, and the expanded tanker fleet will ensure that this help is delivered swiftly and consistently across the whole of the UK.
