Structured around a 19-branch nationwide network of waste transfer stations, Safetykleen can offer the collection of as little as one drum of waste without delay and at a cost-effective rate. Each branch also offers the support of experienced professionals to help customers identify the best routes for the recycling, re-use or disposal of the various wastes they produce.

Safetykleen’s particular expertise is in the area of hazardous wastes, and offers a range of services and fixed-rate collection packages to provide the perfect solution for every business type and size. These can include the provision of colour-coded collector drums, to ensure a safe and efficient waste containment area for wastes such as hydraulic fluid, oil filters, anti-freeze, batteries, oil, waste paint and mixed fuels. Wastes in larger or bulk quantities can also be collected, and the company operates a dedicated fleet of 20 purpose-built mini-tankers to concentrate on bulk waste oil collection.

In line with company policy and the new Waste Framework Directive, recycling or re-use is the first choice option for every type of waste. Waste oil is re-processed into a fuel oil for industry, and much of this actually returns for use in the aggregate industry through fuelling cement kilns, reducing the need for virgin oil. These industry-leading standards assist customers in meeting their own environmental targets.

Safetykleen also provides each of its customers with all the required legal paperwork for waste movement, and actions the required regular reporting to the Environment Agency.
